2015 Act Awards Ceremony held at historic All Hallows Church in Davidsonville, Maryland.
The Anne Arundel County Trust (ACT) for Preservation, Inc. was originally created in 1973 as The Anne Arundel County Committee of the Maryland Historical Trust. Its purpose is “to preserve and maintain historical, aesthetic and cultural properties, buildings, fixtures, furnishing, and appurtenances pertaining in any way to the Province of Maryland from our earliest times.”
Anne Arundel County is celebrating its 20th-century Beach Resort History by holding three FREE history and heritage appreciation events throughout the summer at Beverly Triton Beach Park and Mayo Beach Park, in partnership with the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority, Anne Arundel County Trust for Preservation, Four Rivers Heritage Area, and Anne Arundel County's Cultural Resources Division and Recreation and Parks Department.
ACT is a non-profit organization that advises the Maryland Historical Trust and assists in fostering an awareness of historical and archaeological preservation, easements, National Register nominations, and public education throughout the County. ACT co-sponsors an annual lecture series on historic preservation related topics at St. John’s College and awards matching grants for preservation activities in the county.
